Bringing the knowledge together

Created date

Friday, February 7, 2014 - 10:58pm

As part of meeting the objectives of the Bushfire CRC, strategic integration research on different aspects of fire in the environment is now underway and will be completed by June 2014. The focus of the work is on bringing together the findings from relevant projects and sources from the past decade. This is to better understand the combined state of knowledge now, the evidence for this knowledge, current practice, remaining gaps in knowledge and possible next research steps.
The work will take account of outputs from Bushfire CRC research projects, contract research, Bushfire CRC PhD student projects, as well as significant research on the topic conducted nationally or internationally, in conjunction with industry knowledge and understanding. Project teams will work closely with AFAC groups and subject matter experts from the sector to create an important part of the bridge between research and practice.
