Late 2013 saw the launch of the Bushfire CRC seminar series, with free webinars conducted before Christmas and in the New Year. Scheduled through to June this year, the focus is to bring Australia’s leading fire researchers to our agency partners in Australia and New Zealand. This is part of the ongoing research utilisation, aiming to get the research outcomes to our partners to enable implementation as appropriate.

If you need to know about the extremes of fire weather, make sure you tune into Jeff Kepert’s webinar at noon AEDT on 26 February. Information is available at the upcoming webinars page. More webinars will be scheduled in the future, so watch that space for details.

Missed the webinars so far? No worries, all can be replayed here. So far, Michael Eburn from ANU has covered law and policy for emergency services, La Trobe’s Jim McLennan discussed behaviour and decision making research, and Fabienne Reisen, of CSIRO, focused on understanding air toxins in the rural/urban interface.

Researchers are also available to speak to your organisation. Visit the Speakers Bureau to register your interest.
