Burning Issues

(cover image)

Burning Issues looks at the science and the politics of deliberately burning the Australian landscape. By Professor Mark Adams of the University of Sydney and Dr Peter Attiwill of the University of Melbourne, this book describes the history and role of fire in Australia’s ecosystems and how fire can be managed for both safety and ecological diversity. The authors note calls for a single, simple answer on fuel reduction burning, but they emphasise it is a complex issue.
