Victoria Heinrich is Policy Advisor in the Social Science and Service Policy team at the Bureau of Meteorology and a psychology PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania, Australia. Vicki worked as a weather observer with the Bureau of Meteorology in Australia and Antarctica for over 15 years. Drawing on her experience and interest in human behaviour and weather-related decision-making, Vicki’s research focuses on how, when, and why people use environmental information, their weather hazard risk perceptions, warning responses, and protective decisions. Vicki is a part of the steering group for the WMO's World Weather Research Programmes Polar Couple Analysis and Prediction for Services (PCAPS) project. Vicki holds bachelor degrees with honours in Environmental Science and Science (psychology).
