Streamlining research outputs to aid sense-making

Sometimes it’s hard to make sense of new information, especially when there is a lot of it! Research projects are winding up, and each is producing a final report, Fire Note and a presentation – at a minimum. Most projects have multiple reports, papers, presentation and posters; a lot of valuable information.

In an effort to make it easier for both researchers and end users who are trying to make sense of it all, we are streamlining some of these products using a generic format, applicable across different projects.

It’s quite simple really. What was known about the problem area when the research started? What research was completed? What was discovered? What is the state of knowledge now? The emphasis is on key findings and the new knowledge developed. The aim is to make life easier for researchers and end users by reducing replication and focusing on the significant knowledge added to the problem space.
