Events

How to be involved

To support the adoption of research from the Bushfire CRC the following seminars, workshops and forums are planned for 2009-2010. Calendar of Events.

To register for an event, except for Bushfire CRC Pre-conference Workshops, fill in the registration form and return to Vaia Delizissis (vaia.delizissis@bushfirecrc.com).

Please register your interest in a particular event at least 6 weeks before the scheduled event.  Confirmation will be sent to you within 10 days of receiving your registration. Unfortunately if there is not enough registered interest in an event, the event will not go ahead.. 

The Bushfire CRC will notify all registered participants 14 days before an event with all relevant details.

Some events are listed as ‘invitation only’.  This means the event is targeted to a particular group.  Invitations will be sent out to relevant participants with details on how to register for these ‘invitation only’ events.

Any updates to this calendar will be clearly highlighted on the website during the year. For more general Bushfire CRC research adoption information, refer to the Bushfire CRC Research Adoption Plan /training/

The University of Melbourne’s School of Land and Environment and Department of Forest and Ecosystem Science is celebrating 100 years of Forestry education. The Future of Forestry and Forest Science Conference offers past and present students, scientists, researchers, forestry and environmental professionals, and government policy makers an open forum to reflect on the development of forest science and forestry education over the past century and consider the future of forest science in order to meet the needs of future generations.
