Submit your conference abstract now

Each year the joint Bushfire CRC and AFAC conference attracts around 1000 delegates keen to hear the latest in science, research, policy and practice for the sector. This is a great opportunity to showcase the work of the Bushfire CRC, with the call for abstracts currently open. We would encourage all researchers and students to consider submitting an abstract, with the opportunity to showcase research at Australasia’s largest emergency management conference. Abstract submissions close on 22 February - submit yours at afac2013.org.  

Obviously I believe all of the work is fantastic and would love to have everyone presenting, but unfortunately this is not possible. It is important to consider the conference themes and address these as you write the abstract, as this will give the greatest chance of acceptance. In the event that you don’t get a speaking spot don’t be too discouraged. As in previous years, each project and student will also be showcased though a poster, which will be displayed throughout the conference.
